What is it about?
This study provides guidance for implementing information and communication technologies to help vulnerable populations in India. Those implementing the technology need to understand that in resource constrained environments stakeholders may use the technology in unanticipated and unintended ways. Implementation teams need to practice cultural humility and tolerance in these situations. Because gathering first-hand insights from the beneficiary community is difficulty for donors who are not part of the community, watching how the community responds to the technology offers important lessons for improvements.
