The article explores the relationship between the media and corruption, focusing on the role the media play in controlling or promoting corruption from the perspectives of Ghanaian anti-corruption and justice officials. The study interview the officials about the role they think the media in Ghana play when it comes to corruption.

Why is it important?
While anti-corruption officials believe that the media is an important medium for fighting and controlling corruption, justice officials see the media as a tool for exaggerating the magnitude of corruption and accusing officials unjustifiably. The results also show that the media is a double-edge sword that hold both public officials and journalists accountable in equal measure when it comes to corruption.
Perspectives
This article provides policy makers with areas to focus regarding what role the media can play in fighting corruption. It also points the media to areas of improvement that can enhance their credibility and efforts to help in fighting corruption.
