What is it about?
Young people, although concerned about the environment, tend to waste more food than older people. Initiatives that make them aware of this problem are urgent, and the analysis of its impact on their behavior is necessary. Some examples are displayed.

Why is it important?
The study presents several interventions in different higher education courses that can serve as a guide for its application in other educational institutions. The impact of reducing food waste is relevant in our current society, where abundance and hunger coexist.
Perspectives
The authors of this work would like this type of intervention to encourage young people to co-create their own initiatives that encourage more responsible consumption habits in their peers.
