What is it about?
Despite agricultural programmes designed to improve farmer's welfare in Nigeria, poverty still persist. In 2012, the Nigeria government introduced the use of electronic wallet system under the Agricultural Transformation Agenda (ATA) to improved welfare through access to subsidized inputs which lead to increase in productivity and reduction in poverty.

Why is it important?
Our findings show that poverty incidence, depth and severity was higher among non-users of electronic wallet system than it's users. factors such as sex, household size, occupation, income, and total land cultivated influenced the use of electronic wallet. The PSM analysis showed that e-wallet had a positive impact on welfare.
