What is it about?
• Two studies explore, for the first time, the role of higher-order trait-resilience models in work-family conflict (WFC). • We tested Trait Negotiation Resilience (TNR; interpersonally-oriented) and general trait-resilience (CD-RISC). • TNR related to lower multidimensional WFC, but did not relate to global WFC, and CD-RISC related to lower global WFC. • Additional intra- and interpersonal mediators were tested. • Results demonstrate that trait-resilience, particularly intrapersonal, can alleviate WFC.
