What is it about?
Short-time work schemes are aimed to preserve jobs at firms experiencing temporarily low demand by encouraging work-sharing. We study whether they help maintain workers in the same firms when compared with similar non-participating workers. Our findings show that the impact of the schemes for participating workers is negative, although small.
