What is it about?

Entrepreneurship is often seen to be a way of solving many problems facing poorer countries. In Ethiopia, stories of local women entrepreneurs showed that being an entrepreneur could improve women's lives in many ways: they were more able to contribute to the family income and decision-making and learned many new skills. Despite these advantages, women still faced challenges of being an entrepreneur, such as risk of violence and stress. These challenges are often not taken into account when entrepreneurship is promoted as a solution for international development.
