Community disaster resilience is crucial in the context of disaster recovery. We review the characteristics of community disaster resilience and assess the use of an approach to minimise the time it takes for the community to return to normal after a disaster.

Furthermore, the knowledge review has been enhanced with the application of the agile approach. It has been suggested as a conceptual approach that supports community disaster resilience and its improvements.
