What is it about?
International mediation is one of the few constructive ways of ending violent conflict within and between states. Scholarship on mediation tends to ignore the conflict parties' emotions, which constitute severe obstacles to successful peacemaking. We explore the importance, nature and implications of emotions in mediation.
