What is it about?

We explore the use of variational quantum simulation to solve partial differential equations, such as colloidal transport equations. We found that optimizing the ansatz circuit and quantum encoding can lead to more accurate and efficient solutions, comparable to other near-term methods such as variational quantum optimization.
