What is it about?

We are living in a world deeply dominated by information revolution, media-multiplicity, artificial intelligence (AI) and big data. The information flow that we have access to in today’s world is incredible as well as unprecedented. Every business sector across the globe has to rely rather heavily on information of diverse sorts which becomes available to us through AI-based machines/ strategies/tools in the form of big data implying “high-volume and/or high-variety information” (Gartner). In business, it is used to know about the psychological motivations of the customers along with their preferences and choices about the products and services provided by multinational/ national companies or business concerns. AI through automated machines helps in processing, sorting and extracting relevant information out of massive information glut and thereby enables entrepreneurs and business leaders to have insights to find lasting and sustainable solutions. In view of how critical and vital AI and big data are in today’s world, this paper explores qualitative and theoretical perspectives to underscore the importance of artificial intelligence based and big data applications in multi-sectoral scenarios of businesses across the world. Moreover, an attempt will be made to work out the scope of ontological communicative perspectives based on AI alongside bringing forth their relevance to business organizations that need to survive and sustain with a view to achieve their strategic goals. The authors believe that with effective and meaningful use of big data applications and other data science techniques, business concerns can effectively communicate with various stakeholders and can make successful business decisions. Also, if businesses today can combine big data applications with AI and benefit through ontology learning which employs machine learning, text mining, information and natural language processing, there is every probability of their success and sustainable survival.
