What is it about?
Workplace conflict can harm teamwork, employee well-being, and organizational performance. We examined whether inclusive talent management practices—giving everyone fair access to development opportunities—are associated with lower the levels of such conflict in Kenya's banking sector. We also tested whether employee engagement strengthens this effect. We found that inclusive talent management is linked to lower conflict, and this benefit is even greater when employees are highly engaged. These findings show that fairness and engagement together foster more cooperative, harmonious workplaces.

Perspectives
As a HR researcher and practitioner, I believe that how organizations manage talent has a profound impact on workplace relationships. This study reinforced my view that fairness in development opportunities, combined with high employee engagement, can help create more inclusive, collaborative, and productive workplaces where people feel valued.
