Why is it important?

Large organisations which are well established often find it difficult to involve its entire workforce in innovation activities. Efforts in this direction are often limited to one-time efforts like organisation wide contests, individual incentives and white papers. Hence it is important to study this initiative which successfully incorporated almost 70% of its workforce into innovation related activities.

Perspectives

Globally companies invest heavily in establishing innovation capabilities with specialised dedicated departments. But this exclude majority of the workforce who often don't find the need to innovate in their workflow. This is often an impediment for organisations to become an innovative organisation. The need of the hour is for companies to inculcate innovation as a daily habit for its entire workforce to stand out in this highly competitive world.
