What is it about?

We examine the actors and competing discourses during the policy development process which shaped Canada's new law governing the representation of women and diverse groups on federally incorporated corporations. Legislation shapes and reflects values and culture and forms an important part of the institutional environment of organizations but is often not considered in organizational studies. In addition, our case study provides examples of how academic research and activism can drive social change.
