Conflict in International Construction Projects

What is it about?

This study investigates the influence of conflict on international construction projects. The study focused on international projects conducted by Malaysian companies. The results showed some negative influence of conflict on project performance.

Why is it important?

The study attempts to show that conflict may influence international projects' performance. Conflict in this context is inevitable, where project team is a mixture of people from different ethics, cultures, and points of views. This study classified conflict into 6 types (e.g. social, internal, knowledge-related,...etc.) and studied the influence of each on project performance. This provides a chance to focus on specific aspects of conflict and manage them to attain better project performance.
