What is it about?
Innovation in urgently needed to fill the gaps in smoking cessation products, services and for converting global WHO policy into local practice. Healthcare practitioners' knowledge, attitudes and practice regarding tobacco use and cessation may hold the key to rapidly scaling up cessation support and delivery to achieve a smoke-free world sooner. Asia houses nearly 700 million of the world's billion+ tobacco users. Making South Asian healthcare practitioners the champions of smoking cessation and healthy behaviours can propel these nations to global leadership in achieving the WHO's stated objectives in tobacco control.
