How older adults cook at home
What is it about?
This study explores how often a small group of older adults use different cooking methods and types of kitchen equipment. In addition, it examines how older adults conceptualize cooking methods using quantitative and qualitative analyses of a card sort activity.
Why is it important?
Older adults face changing circumstances and may have increased nutritional risk. Developing an understanding of how they manage food within a home kitchen can illuminate how to best work with them to meet their needs.
