What is it about?
The key takeaway of this study was twofold: First, the four contemporary Taiwanese elections examined in this study tell some enthralling stories about how Taiwan voters make their electoral decisions based on the single most crucial issue, China. Second, by applying the SUR approach, this study confirms that political cleavage in Taiwan should be considered in advance. In other words, the China factor is highly correlated with partisan voters’ decisions.
