What is it about?

This article is the first to empirically test a range of socio-economic determinants of the money collected by a NPO (the Portuguese League Against Cancer) considering the diversity of Portuguese municipalities.

Why is it important?

Besides being the first empirical publication on the topic of determinants of giving at Portugal, this article also revises the literature and the models of the Economics of Giving.
