Why is it important?
Benzothiazole derivatives are considered important compounds because of their wide range of biological activities and also because of its high electron affinity and good planarity making it an appropriate buliding block in construction of optical material (Liu et al., 2013;). Herein, in this study, we report the crystal structure of the title compound.
Perspectives
In the molecule of the title molecule, C19H13N3S, is benzothiazole compound. The dihedral angles between the benzene ring and the neighboring benzothiazole ring and pyridine ring planes being 3.54° and 10.09°,respectively, indicating that the molecule is nearly coplanarand because of its high electron affinity and good planarity making it an appropriate buliding block in construction of optical material.
