What is it about?

Heme is an important molecule in biological systems. We have shown the structure and interaction of the molecule through hydrogen bond directly to one another on each porphyrin. We studied the molecule by using Single crystal X-ray diffractometer.

Why is it important?

Our findings show that the common features of the porphyrin plane–plane stacking involve two types of synthons.
