What is it about?

X-ray microscopy is one of the most powerful techniques to characterize materials, but the data is often too big and multidimensional for us to see and analyze. We developed a new approach to visualize it using a virtual reality approach.

Why is it important?

Due to the development of information technologies, various kinds of image data, which are big and multidimensional, are available now. Their visualization is essential to understanding and dealing with them, especially in the field of microscopy.

Perspectives

I hope that this article makes people see and understand big and multidimensional data for a “white-box” approach instead of a “black-box” one.
