What is it about?

About ten years ago, we - the "Young Crystallographers" - were founded as a working group within the German Crystallographic Association. In this article, we describe our efforts, methods, and successes over the last decade to rejuvenate the field of crystallography in and around Germany.

Why is it important?

In general, this summary serves as a template for other national Young Crystallographer's associations and provides insights into the formats that we have found to be best suited to get young researchers involved. For us, this was a great opportunity to reflect on the past ten years and on what we as a collective have achieved over this time.
