What is it about?

Transcriptome and metabolome reveal the hallmarks of autophagy defects. Major effects are due to salicylic acid over accumulation in atg mutants. Atg mutants accumulate amino acids as glutamate, aspartate and methionin and are depleted in sugars, starch and anthocyanin. Transcriptome reveals that all the genes involved in anthocyanin pathway (TF and enzymes) are down regulated in atg mutants and that over-expressing PAP1 restore anthocyanin accumulation.
