What is it about?
In this article we propose a modification of the classical Epidemic type aftershock sequence model for earthquakes in which we include the dependence from the magnitude of the mother event
Featured Image
Why is it important?
Inclusion of past seismicity in the frequency-magnitude distribution of seismic events
Perspectives
The modified ETAS model we propose, conditional to the magnitude of the mother event, can be used for operational forecasting applications to obtain more reliable forecasts based on more physical and natural assumptions
