Fine Structure Splitting in Artificial Atoms

What is it about?

Study on the effects of electron-hole symmetry breaking and and interdiffusion in zero dimensional nanostructures on the polarization based fine splitting, which represents a challenge to generate entangled photon pairs.

Why is it important?

Experimentally supported model to describe the magnitude of the fine splitting in terms of the quantum dot size and composition.
