What is it about?

We came up with a method to simplify integration of epigenomics data into functional categories. Our method increases transparency in reproducibility.

Why is it important?

StatePaintR makes it easy to rapidly generate custom annotations across disparate datasets, and to make direct comparisons with private datasets. It provides a way to prioritize annotated regions by the strength of evidence from NGS data. In addition, it could be used to integrate other annotations with each other, as has been done for ChromHMM and Segway, or to test different models of the epigenome for predictive accuracy in an assay (e.g. methylation).
