What is it about?

High-throughput sequencing has generated terabytes of data. They are like oceans with huge amount of fish and whales but hardly exploited. Bioinformatic tools are like fishing fleets that allow you to sail into the ocean and harvest. Unfortunately, many fish fleets, while well decorated, may lead you to wrong places. I show the flaws of such fleets and present a tool that does work.

Why is it important?

Everyone needs to eat some fish or fish products, especially deep-sea ones......

Perspectives

How you are funded in science depends on how much work you have done and how visible it is, whether the work is done correctly or wrongly is irrelevant. If you disagree, then you should read this paper and we should shake hands.
