What is it about?

Dry eye is a condition affected by the stress of daily activities. This includes computer use, exposure to air conditioning, etc. Through a very detailed patient diary involving 15 minute slots, we found the duration of some activities to be directly correlated to abnormal dry eye tests (essential activities) and others to be inversely correlated (due to avoidance of these activities).

Why is it important?

A home diary may be an innovative way to measure dry eye impact. The many tests performed at the clinic may or may not reflect the burden or stress imposed by the patients' daily activities.
