The APEX Flap for Breast Reconstruction The APEX (Abdominal Perforator Exchange) Flap is an advancement of the DIEP Flap to allow for natural tissue breast reconstruction with improved softness (reduced fat necrosis) and better abdominal donor site appearance and structure protection for women undergoing breast reconstruction at the time of or after mastectomy.
