A Novel Noninvasive Patient-Specific Navigation Method for Orbital Reconstructive Surgery: A Phantom Study Using Patient Data

What is it about?

We propose an accurate non-invasive patient-specific navigation method for orbital reconstructive surgery. Computer-assisted navigation has been introduced to improve surgical outcomes, however, the conventional registration methods for navigation were not appropriate for orbital reconstructive surgery. The proposed method demonstrated superior registration accuracy compared with the previous registration methods for computer assisted navigation in orbital reconstructive surgery.
