What is it about?
Palatal fistula is one of the most common complications of cleft palate surgery. Its assessment and management is key to successful outcome. Very few classifications have been proposed in the literature but none of them addresses the wide variety of fistulae that can occur after palate surgery. We have tried to devise a management based classification which is simple and comprehensive. An algorithm has also been devised so as to guide about the surgical treatment of different palatal fistulae.
