Risk Factors for Delays in Adjuvant Chemotherapy Following Immediate Breast Reconstruction: Concerns exist that immediate breast reconstruction may result in post-operative complications, thereby delaying the start of adjuvant chemotherapy and impacting oncologic outcomes. In this study of 244 breast reconstructions, we evaluate patients who undergo breast reconstruction followed by adjuvant chemotherapy to determine whether post-operative complications delay the initiation of adjuvant chemotherapy, and identify any risk factors for such delays.
