Why is it important?

Pediatricians know Kawasaki disease should be treated with IVIG as early as possible. However, whether as early as to fever duration less than 5 days would bring clinical benefit is the main purpose of this article. This article concluded that Early immunoglobulin therapy might not be beneficial for the coronary outcomes of children with Kawasaki disease in this observational study. On the contrary, it might be associated with higher recurrence rate.
