Why is it important?
At this time, much of the world is moving to true active movement after flexor tendon repair. This has improved our results from the "Place and hold" form of rehabilitation. This article and videos explain the difference between true active movement and "Place and hold", and why we feel true active movement up to half a fist is superior.
Perspectives
This form of rehabilitation can be used even if flexor tendon repair is performed asleep. However, awake flexor tendon repairs provide even better results.
