Cleft palate surgery is challenging to learn and teach. A cleft palate simulator is a valuable training alternative. However, complex and highly realistic simulators are expensive. An economical cleft palate simulator was developed using a pigs tongue and surgical glove that may be more practical for use in the developing world.
