What is it about?

Women often visit the emergency department following mastectomy and breast reconstruction procedures. Such visits may represent a lapse in quality and care. Identifying patients with a higher risk to return for preventable diagnoses, such as pain, may help policymakers develop strategies to reduce discretionary ED utilization.
