What is it about?

Capsular contracture is a distressing complication of breast implant surgery. It can results in firmness, tightness, pain and cosmetic deformity. It occurs in 5-10 percent of women who have had reconstruction following mastectomy for breast cancer, and in up to 60 percent of those who require radiotherapy after their reconstruction. It is a common cause of revision surgery. The aim of this trial is to test the efficacy of Low Level Laser therapy in improving the changes related to capsular contracture in those who have had surgery for breast cancer.
