Outcomes Following Autologous Fat Grafting for Oncologic Head and Neck Reconstruction This study reports the surgical, oncologic, andaesthetic outcomes of patients undergoing autologous fat grafting for oncologic head and neck reconstruction. A total of 190 fat grafting procedures were performed on 116 patients who had previously been treated for various head and neck tumors. The complication rate was 6% and no complication required a return to the operating room. Six patients developed a cancer recurrence, none of which were at the site of fat grafting. Aesthetic analysis revealed that both plastic surgeons and lay people thought patients looked closer to normal following autologous fat grafting.
