What is it about?
Correcting Poland syndrome with a 3D custom-made silicone implant: Poland syndrome is historically associated with hypoplasia of the pectoral major muscle and abnormalities of the upper limbs. Different reconstruction methods exist, such as muscle flaps, lipofilling, or prostheses. We propose an innovative procedure for correcting Poland syndrome thoracic malformations using three-dimensional (3D) modeling. Correcting Poland Syndrome using a CAD silicone implant fulfilled aesthetic and psychological demands in men and women with significant improvements seen in QoL. The technique is simple, reliable, and yields high-quality results, and 3D CAD has optimized our reconstructions.
