What is it about?

We found that NK cells in tumor tissues and peripheral blood of patients with colon cancer acquire a pro-angiogenic phenotype and function, suggesting a contribution to colon cancer progression. Using the drug pimozide, an antipsychotic agents that inhibit the STAT/STA% axis, we were able to limit the ability of NK from colon cancer patients to produce pro-angiogenic/pro-tumorigenic factors.
