When we think of inflammation, we often think of arthritis, nephritis, colitis, and rare diseases such as scleroderma and dermatomyositis. It is likely that chronic inflammation plays a large role in the progression of atherosclerosis and dementia. Thus, synthetic cannabinoids may prove useful, safe treatment for a variety of rare and common diseases for which there is no good therapy now.
