What is it about?
The fiction short story I reviewed is entitled 'Nagasaki: Ground Zero' and is written by the current director of the Arom Bomb Museum, Yuichi Seirai. He writes about the Catholic community in the modern context with empathy and verve.

Why is it important?
This review essay was published one month prior to the 70th anniversary of the bombing of Nagasaki. Three publications are evaluated in relation to atomic memory in this city, and in particular in relation to the Catholic community.
Perspectives
Personally I have been interviewing bomb survivors since 2008 and have now interviewed 12 people. This is a difficult task, but also important as it will not be possible in the not too distant future. I am currently completing my dissertation and am writing about the impact of the bomb upon Catholic memory in Nagasaki.
