Why is it important?
This study is important because it revealed how land grab by the government led to the policy failures in West Bengal under the rule of a pro-peasant leftist government.
Perspectives
I have viewed the industrialization move by the government in relation to agriculture, land reform and local self-government which are not usually taken into consideration by the policy makers.
