Why is it important?
The listing and comments are intended as a handy way of kick-starting research in different facets of African transportation, getting quickly to the best work, and discovering new topics in and slants on African transportation.
Perspectives
The bibliography is a distillation of a library (of more than ten times as many items) compiled sporadically over three decades. Designing and compiling the bibliography helped me find new pieces, re-read items, and think about the dominant strands of inquiry in the literature.
