What is it about?
The meiotic strand exchange reaction driven by Rad51 and Dmc1 is supported by a group of ancillary factors, called mediators. These promote Mus81-dependent crossover formation during meiosis by counteracting the synthesis-dependent strand annealing and branch migration capabilities of the DNA helicases Fml1 and Rqh1.
