An analysis of cohesion and clause combination in English discourse

What is it about?

This study examines frequencies of clause combination and distribution of discourse-pragmatic markers of cohesion in a subsample of the Susanne corpus. It addresses the theory that grammar constitutes a form of grammar-cued discourse coherence.
