Why is it important?
This article is important because it places Hooker's theology of the Eucharist against the backdrop of medieval understandings of how Christ is present in the Eucharist. It argues that Hooker's theology of the Eucharist is best explained through the idea of moral causality.
Perspectives
I wrote this article to try and explain how Richard Hooker understood the theology of the Eucharist. It seemed to me, that some scholars had over looked the fact that Hooker spoke about the Eucharist as a moral instrument.
