This study is on the reproductive biology of the penaeid shrimp M. sibogae. Also, we provided a new macroscopic index to assess ovarian maturation verified by histology which would help future reproductive studies of small penaeid shrimps.

This study provides the reproductive biology of M. sibogae to delineate for the first time its ovarian maturation, size at sexual maturity, and spawning season.
