What is it about?

A wide septum and large surface area may be indications for adhesion barrier. The osę of autocrosslinked polysaccharide reduces the risk of abnormal healing anatomic results after complete hysteroscopic metroplasty. The ESHRE-ESGE criteria may cause greater frequency of recognition of residual septum than the ASRM>1cm criterion, which could result in more frequent reoperations with use of the ESHRE-ESGE criteria, possibly without any significant effect on reproductive performance.

Why is it important?

We belive that results of the present study will have an important contribution to the development of knowledge about treatment of septate uterus (healing outcomes), their standardization (pre-intra-post-opertive diagnostics, adhesions barriers), classification systems of female genital tract congenital anomalies (risk of overdiagnosis and overtreatment of residual septum or septate uterus by the ESHRE-ESGE relative to the ASRM classfication) and standardization of evaluation surgical outcomes.
